In 2025, MLBB became the most-watched mobile esports title worldwide. Both events are part of the M7 Carnival, a three-day celebration featuring esports matches, live performances, fan activities, and giveaways. Globe, in partnership with the popular Philippine eSports company Mineski, launches their professional eSports team, Liyab. Globe President and CEO Ernest Cu stated that they aim to accelerate the development of esports in the Philippines through the Globe Games and Esports program, leading to the creation of the professional esports team. "Liyab, which translates to ‘Blaze,’ represents the team’s intense passion and focus in the realm of esports," Cu added. Launched in April 2018, the Globe Games and eSports Program organizes and hosts international esports tournaments such as Globe Philippine Pro Gaming League, Globe Conquerors Manila, and Valor Cup.
