In an unprecedented move from Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, Meta is laying off over 11,000 employees immediately. There is no good way to do a layoff, but we hope to get all the relevant information to you as quickly as possible and then do whatever we can to support you through this. Everyone will get an email soon letting you know what this layoff means for you. I view layoffs as a last resort, so we decided to rein in other sources of cost before letting teammates go. Facebook is launching a new game, Your Profile, Your Home where users can build their own virtual home on Facebook and learn how to personalize their account based on their preferences. Through the game users can learn more about the settings of Facebook such as Privacy settings, Advertiser preferences, and security settings. Through Your Profile, Your Home, Facebook hopes that users will have an easy way to find out just how safe and secure their profiles are.
