Samsung's recently launched flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S3, already has a clone and is being sold at an online retail store for about Php9,000 ($209). The fake SGS3 will also have a 512MB RAM along with the single core processor. This Gingerbread-powered HDC Galaxy S3 was posted at Android-Sale.com yesterday but upon checking it today, it's no longer there. Anyway, I wasn’t that disappointed about my visit because I found out that SGS3 was not the only one that has an Asian clone because even its quad-core competitor HTC One X and its big brother Galaxy Note has one. It's already confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be launched in the Philippines before end of October (that's next week!) and we finally got the retail price down to the dot -- Php34,990 (thanks to our source). The price isn't surprising (though I thought it would be a bit higher by a couple grand) considering its baby brother, the Galaxy S, sells for Php32,000.
