In a survey released last March, the International Data Corporation (IDC) saw that 56 percent of Asia-Pacific employees (excluding those from Japan) preferred to continue flexible or hybrid work options, which allows them to work in the office or at home, even when the pandemic shall be considered over. In addition, 70 percent of these workers indicated the same level or higher level of productivity compared to pre-pandemic conditions. The CICC said it will continue working with digital platforms and government agencies to strengthen online child safety and reduce access to content considered harmful to minors. The new service is designed to help users stay connected in remote areas where traditional cell towers are unavailable and during emergencies when regular mobile networks are disrupted. According to Globe, the service works by allowing compatible LTE smartphones with an active Globe SIM to connect directly to Starlink satellites once they are outside Globe's terrestrial network coverage and have a clear view of the sky.
