The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 was unveiled globally last July 2023. In this new iteration Samsung made minor but incremental upgrades from their last iteration. As the pioneer in foldables, Samsung is expected to release a new version of its Fold and Flip devices on an annual basis. This is what we know about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Wide. As its name suggests, the Galaxy Z Fold Wide is rumored to be a "horizontal" foldable for those who prefer that aspect ratio. This will be the opposite of the more traditional Galaxy Z Fold8 that is slated to continue chasing after a more traditional smartphone footprint. It may be closer to a "Flip" camera experience than a "Fold," albeit the ultrawide and main sensors are still around. The battery capacity may be slightly impacted as well, with 4,800 mAh rumored compared to the Fold8's alleged 5,000.
