vivo has finally released its newest book-type foldable in the Philippines: the vivo X Fold5. Notably, despite being a foldable, it comes with certain levels of ingress protection, including IP5X, IPX8, IPX9 ratings for dust and water resistance. Notably, this is the first time vivo has released its foldable offering globally. Some would argue that even regular foldables (if you can call them that) have only really hit their stride now, in terms of minimizing the compromises compared to a conventional slab phone. HONOR is about to shake up the foldable phone market with its Magic V5, folding down to just 8.8 mm thick, about the thickness of a CD case.
