The Lifebooks of Fujitsu and the Libretto's of Toshiba were at the top of the heap. This month, several leaked pictures and video of an upcoming Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Mini has been going around. All along Fujitsu and Toshiba are giving us the impression that it's expensive to miniaturize hardware. No details on specs for the Fujitsu Amilo Mini is available but it's confirmed to be in the 8.9-inch form factor and will run Windows XP/Vista. Fujitsu used to own the market for really small and lightweight laptops with their Lifebook series. Now Fujitsu is trying to play catch and teamed up with Siemens for the 8.9-inch Lifebook P1620. The Fujitsu-Siemens Lifebook P1620 is its answer to the Asus Eee PC 900. Is it too late for Fujitsu or can it muster and grab some piece of the action in this already crowded market.
