After the major global recall of the Galaxy Note7 by Samsung last month, a new batch of Galaxy Note7 has arrived and being distributed to previous customers who availed of the exchange program. The main issue with the old batch of Galaxy Note7 is that a small percentage of the close to 2.5 million units originally released had battery problems. The new batch (let's call them version 2) of Galaxy Note7 no longer have this issue. Samsung started distributing the new Galaxy Note7 last October 1. After multiple incidents of the Galaxy Note7 exploding and Samsung confirming that the device might have battery issues which forced it to do a recall, the Federal Aviation Administration has advised passengers not to use the said devices while on board an aircraft. The Samsung Galaxy Note7 was announced on August 2 and was slated to arrive in the country on August 20. On September 2, Samsung officially announced a worldwide recall of the Note7 due to battery defects.
