Samsung formally announced the first software update coming to its Galaxy S24 Series this month. The upcoming firmware aims to fix undersaturated displays on the Galaxy S24, S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, and optimize their camera experience. In its blog post, Samsung says that the Galaxy S24 Series gets “enhanced options and experiences across the device display and camera.” There is now a ‘Vividness’ slider within the display’s Advanced settings. While specifics are lacking, the update should also address camera issues some Galaxy S24 users have encountered. Samsung’s upcoming One UI 8.5, based on Android 16 QPR2, will be the final major feature update for several older Galaxy devices, though they’ll continue receiving security patches for some time.
