Samsung is making a slight upgrade to its flagship Galaxy S5 handset by adding a more powerful Snapdragon 805 processor running at 2.5GHz and they called it the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus. The chip upgrade is exactly identical to the one they used in the Galaxy Note 4 which is set to be released in the Philippines next week. The rest of the hardware configuration is practically the same: Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus specs: 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display @ 1080×1920 pixels, 432ppi Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 2.5GHz quad-core processor Qualcomm Krait 450 chipset Adreno 420 Graphics 16GB internal memory up to 128GB via microSD card LTE Cat. It's already confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be launched in the Philippines before end of October (that's next week!) and we finally got the retail price down to the dot -- Php34,990 (thanks to our source). The price isn't surprising (though I thought it would be a bit higher by a couple grand) considering its baby brother, the Galaxy S, sells for Php32,000. More "in the flesh" photos and first impressions of the Galaxy Tab here. So, anybody got spare change for a Galaxy Tab? See which Samsung Galaxy devices will soon be able to support Android 13.
