GCash has just announced that it will be expanding internationally with GCash Overseas after the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) approved its beta launch. This means that users can download the GCash app and register using their international SIM and have the full functionality of GCash such as sending money, paying bills, buying load, and more. Currently GCash Overseas is in beta and available to limited users in Japan, Australia, and Italy.  GCash has also encouraged its users abroad to be one of the first 1,000 Filipinos to try it. GCash President and CEO Martha Sazon also expressed her excitement through a Facebook post, saying that it was "Truly a huge collective effort from our team for the Filipino OFWs and migrants around the world." She also further stated that GCash Overseas will soon expand to users in the USA by next week. Filipinos in Japan can now send money directly to GCash accounts in the Philippines through PayForex, making remittances faster and easier without going to remittance centers. GCash announced that it has partnered with the operator of PayForex, a Japanese fund transfer platform, to make money transfers available for overseas Filipinos. With this integration, Pinoys in Japan can now remit money from PayForex straight to the GCash wallets of their families in the Philippines.
