Just got an early morning call today from a Globe representative telling me that my subscription is eligible for an upgrade to 400Mbps from the old 100Mbps by adding only Php600 in my monthly service fee. Since there isn't really a standard 400Mbps plan in Globe's current line-up, I think this upgrade is a custom one for subscribers who are stuck with the old 100Mbps/Php2,899 plan from years back. From a business standpoint, this is the most logical path -- the 500Mbps standard plan is a bit far off (Php4,999 from Php2,899) for an upgrade while the new 300Mbps plan (at Php2,699) would result in a reduced MSF of Php200 if Globe had to upgrade the plan (100Mbps/2,899 -> 300Mbps/2699).
