Globe Telecom has announced that it is ramping up its deployment of the 700 megahertz (MHz) band with plans to roll it out to nearly 1,800 sites within the year. According to Globe President & CEO Ernest Cu, the rollout is more than a three-fold increase from the 500 sites that was deployed last year. In addition to the LTE 700 sites, Globe is also expanding coverage and increasing capacities for 1,000 sites using the 2600 MHz band. Last month, Globe has also announced that it is on track at deploying 2 million home broadband with at least 10Mbps speed by 2020. So it's not a surprise that Globe Telecom has dropped its Globe Visibility Mobile Prepaid kit down to just Php3,500. Globe started offering their new prepaid and postpaid plans for Visibility back in June 23 when we first reported it here.
