#Globe 5G. Additional Areas for Globe 5G

To cater more subscribers, Globe expands its 5G network to additional areas in Metro Manila. Listed below are the additional areas that can enjoy Globe's 5G services in Metro Manila: • Quezon City: Commonwealth Ave., Tandang Sora Road, Mindanao Ave, Luzon Ave. • Strategic areas along SLEX and NLEX To experience 5G connectivity, postpaid and prepaid subscribers have to make sure that they are using 5G-enabled mobile devices together with Globe LTE or TM LTE SIM cards. Globe Telecom said it has successfully tested Starlink’s satellite-to-mobile service in the Philippines, allowing phones to connect in areas with no signal. Globe partnered with Starlink, a satellite service by SpaceX, to improve connectivity across the country, especially in hard-to-reach areas. Globe started offering their new prepaid and postpaid plans for Visibility back in June 23 when we first reported it here. One curious question here though is why is Globe abandoning the eat-all-you can model for mobile 3G internet? If it's true that 10% of subscribers are eating up imore than 10GB a month and overloading the network, it makes sense for Globe to sacrifice these 10% to improve network quality for the rest of the 90%.
