Globe has recently announced that its 5G outdoor coverage is now at 80% in Metro Manila. The telco has upgraded 884 locations in Metro Manila into 5G-ready sites, making the 5G service available to more subscribers. Other top nine Metro Manila cities with 5G coverage are San Juan (91%), Pateros (91%), Mandaluyong (86%), Makati (84%), Caloocan (84%), Manila (83%), Marikina (83%), Pasig (81%), and Quezon City. With our aggressive rollouts, our network is getting closer to making the whole of Metro Manila 5G ready. Efforts outside Metro Manila are also being made to boost Globe’s 5G network in other key cities in the Philippines. Globe has partnered with Grab to improve its mobile network by collecting real-world data from daily trips across Metro Manila. The data helped Globe find areas with poor coverage, including busy roads and places that were not tested before.
