Globe is offering free, unlimited internet connection through its GoWiFi services at select hospitals around Metro Manila. With their free GoWiFi service, Globe will help both medical professionals and patients connect with their loved ones, and be informed in the current news and updates about the COVID-19 pandemic. Luke's Medical Center Capitol Medical Center Globe will also be offering free access for mobile and broadband customers to the official websites of the Department of Health and National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council. Globe AT HOME is giving eligible customers free internet speed boosts of up to 1Gbps along with free WiFi 6 modem upgrades to help improve home connectivity for work, school, and entertainment. Subscribers whose current modem cannot support the upgraded speeds may also upgrade to a WiFi 6 modem for free, but with a required 24-month relock period. Globe has not yet shared how long the promo will run or which plans are eligible for the free upgrade. Free WiFi is now available in key locations, including evacuation centers, disaster response offices, and municipal facilities. Globe activated its satellite-to-mobile service with Starlink, providing free data and messaging in South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani.
