Globe has just announced that they are offering the HTC One postpaid plans starting with Plan 999 with unlimited LTE data, free 101 SMS and 5 minute calls (under the usual 24-month contract). The HTC One was launched just the other week and has a suggested retail price of Php32,990. The service can soon be availed via the GlobeOne app (there's actually a tab in the GlobeOne app that states Starlink but still has no plans offered). (The system can only provide signal up to 12 nautical miles from the coast, if a subscriber may want to use it out in the sea.) Globe has been field testing this service for months now and should be rolling this service out via the GlobeOne app any time soon. Update: Reports from a few subscribers are saying the service is already available in their e-wallet and GlobeOne apps. Without the iPhone, we would not have seen the likes of Samsung Instinct, Omnia i900, HTC Touch Diamond, LG Dare and Sony-Ericsson Xperia this early. Was talking with TJ Manotoc on the phone last week about the iPhone 3G plans with Globe. He asked me what dozens of others have been wondering all this time -- why doesn't Globe offer unlimited 3G plans (Visibility) with the iPhone?
