Globe is gearing their network to support Internet of Things (IoT) services. Right now, Globe is working on introducing Narrow Band - Internet of Things (NB-IoT) technology. NB-IoT is a 3GPP standards-based low power wide area (LPWA) technology. Huawei and Nokia are joining globe in introducing NB-IoT locally.   Globe Telecom President & CEO Ernest Cu said.   “Given new business requirements in a highly digital environment, Globe is gearing up to deploy emerging IoT services relevant to various enterprises including the public sector. This preparation would also be in line with Globe's LTE and MIMO expansion, which the telco has been aggressively deploying. As of now, Globe already has 1,750 LTE sites across the country using the 700 MHz band.
