Since February 2026, Globe's announcement of their partnership with Starlink has been heavily anticipated by many Filipino consumers especially those in areas where there is very weak or no cellular signal. The Globe-Starlink service will act as a local roaming service that will automatically be made available and enabled when a subscriber loses Globe's cellular signal. The service can soon be availed via the GlobeOne app (there's actually a tab in the GlobeOne app that states Starlink but still has no plans offered). Based on our last interview with Globe representatives, the Starlink service will be free for Globe Postpaid under Plan 1499 and up, while other subscribers will need to subscribe to it as an add-on. Globe Starlink 99: 100 text messages + 2GB satellite data access to essential apps (30 days) Globe Starlink 299: 500 text messages + 10GB satellite data access (90 days) The promo is good for 30 to 90 days from the time of activation. Globe has officially launched Starlink's satellite-to-mobile service in the Philippines after receiving approval from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), making it the first local telecom operator to commercially offer direct-to-device satellite connectivity in the country. According to Globe, the service works by allowing compatible LTE smartphones with an active Globe SIM to connect directly to Starlink satellites once they are outside Globe's terrestrial network coverage and have a clear view of the sky.
