A couple of months after the release of the Android P Developer Preview, Google has announced that the Android P Beta program is now available for supported devices. Google has started rolling out a redesigned Google Wallet app for Android alongside new Google Pay verification features announced during Google I/O 2026. Google says Android Halo is designed to make AI interactions more seamless by keeping users informed without interrupting what they are doing. Google has announced a range of creator-focused features in Android 17. Google is also working with Meta Platforms to improve the Instagram experience on Android. Google is bringing new Android-exclusive tools to Instagram’s Edits app. Google Meet is starting to roll out on Android Auto, bringing video call access to car displays, although with some notable limitations. Google recently introduced Meet support for Apple CarPlay, and the Android Auto version is expected to expand further in the coming weeks.
