To put it simply, the Google Cardboard is a DIY kit that uses your Android smartphone to turn it into a Virtual Reality device. It is also cheap as the materials can be found in your garage or can be bought at your local hardware store - cardboard, lenses, magnets, velcro, and rubber band. To use the Cardboard, just run the Cardboard app on your Android smartphone, secure it inside the viewer and you're good to go.
