Google's Play Store new Data safety section will allow users to see what data Android Apps will collect. Google has just announced a new safety section in the Play Store in the hopes to keep Google Play a safe, trusted space for people to enjoy Android apps. The Data safety section will allow users to see how each app collects, shares, and secures user data. Some information to be found in this new section will include if the developer is collecting data and for what purpose, whether or not the developer is sharing data with third parties, and even the app's security practices. There will also be information about whether or not developers have committed to Google Play's Families Policy and validated their security practices against a global security standard.
