Google has been looking into emerging markets, showing a lot of interest in India, as they are preparing to launch it's Google Home smart speakers, Pixelbook, and other IoT products. According to "four senior industry executives", the company is exploring the option to launch a mid-range Pixel phone in India around July or August. Google had previously shared expansion plans in trade meets, with Indian retailers part of the discussion. If Google does ever plan to enter the country, perhaps a mid-range Pixel is the way to go.
