Google to reportedly release mid-range Pixel phone this summer

Google has been looking into emerging markets, showing a lot of interest in India, as they are preparing to launch it’s Google Home smart speakers, Pixelbook, and other IoT products.

According to “four senior industry executives”, the company is exploring the option to launch a mid-range Pixel phone in India around July or August.

Google had previously shared expansion plans in trade meets, with Indian retailers part of the discussion.

Like India, the Philippines is an emerging, price-sensitive market. If Google does ever plan to enter the country, perhaps a mid-range Pixel is the way to go.

maybe nokia is successful in its offering. an affordable device with guaranteed upgrades to next 2 OSes is really good unlike cherrymobile’s often broken promise. (remember cm android one 1st gen upgrade to nougat which did not materialize?)

At that time, Google po ang nagbibigay ng software updates sa mga Android One devices huwag niyo po sisihin ang Cherry Mobile jan at di lang CM One/ MP Uno ang di nakareceive ng nougat update, meron din pong ibang 1st Gen Android One sa ibang bansa na nakapangalan sa ibang brand pero same device.
