GoPro's newest HERO (2018) action camera was reported to be identical to the HERO 5 but with a downgraded firmware according to a post by Hypoxic. The GoPro HERO 2018 features a 10MP lens and 1440p 60fps or 1080p 60 fps video recording resolution. According to the report, the HERO (2018) can perform just like the HERO 5 by loading it with the latter's firmware and some modifications. A few months after its official unveiling, GoPro's newest generation Hero, dubbed Hero 2018, finally lands in the Philippines via Villman. The Hero 2018 is compatible with the GoPro app and is now available at Villman for Php 9,600. The GoPro LIT HERO is now official, sitting between the base HERO and the flagship HERO 13 in features and price. At the time of writing, the GoPro LIT HERO is priced at USD 270 (~PHP 16K).
