It's official: Grab has announced today that it has already acquired Uber's operations in Southeast Asia after months of talks, with the deal basically being confirmed yesterday. Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi will also be joining Grab's board. GrabFood is currently available in Indonesia and Thailand, and will shortly be expanding to Singapore and Malaysia, taking the reins from UberEats. As for Uber drivers, both companies are working to migrate them to Grab. In the Philippines, with only Grab and Uber dominating the ride-sharing space, it's just a matter of users switching over.
