MyHair AI, a new startup founded by Cyriac Lefort and Tilen Babnik, has launched an app that uses artificial intelligence to help people check early signs of hair loss. The service, released this summer, allows users to upload photos of their scalp so the AI can measure hair density and detect changes over time. Lefort said the idea started two years ago after a haircut in New York, when his hairdresser told him he was “starting to lose hair.” That comment led him to realize how confusing the hair loss market is, with many unverified treatments and misleading information. He later worked with Babnik to create MyHair AI, aiming to give users clearer, science-based results. To use the app, people take photos of their heads and upload them. The AI then tracks their hair condition across multiple photos, helping users see if hair loss is getting better or worse. The app can also suggest specialists, show verified clinic reviews, and recommend products based on the user’s hair needs. MyHair AI plans to expand by partnering with more clinics and building a booking platform for hair-care services.
