#HMD and Xplora partnership

HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, has announced a strategic partnership with Xplora, a Norway-based maker of children’s smartwatches. “We are excited to join forces with Xplora to deliver tech solutions tailored to the unique needs of children and young people,” said Jean-Francois Baril, CEO and Chairman of HMD Global. “This allows us to foster a healthy and positive relationship with technology — providing all the essential features, without any unnecessary distractions.” HMD and Xplora reportedly expect to showcase the first products and services resulting from this partnership at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in March 2025. HMD Global still fulfills Nokia's reputation of having phones with a solid build quality, which is good since it's one of the things the brand has been known for. Christine Tueres, managing director of RRHI, said: "Our partnership with BPI allows us to go beyond retail by offering convenient, accessible financial services within our stores, making essential transactions like deposits and withdrawals part of our customers’ regular shopping routines," she said. The move strengthens Shopee’s partnership with Beats and aims to meet growing demand for high-quality, on-the-go audio among Filipino consumers. The following UNISOC T612 and T616 chipsets dominated the market in 2023/24 by being the primary chip of choice in entry to mid-level Transsion devices, as well as budget choices from realme/Nokia (HMD).
