HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, has announced a strategic partnership with Xplora, a Norway-based maker of children’s smartwatches. “We are excited to join forces with Xplora to deliver tech solutions tailored to the unique needs of children and young people,” said Jean-Francois Baril, CEO and Chairman of HMD Global. “This allows us to foster a healthy and positive relationship with technology — providing all the essential features, without any unnecessary distractions.” HMD and Xplora reportedly expect to showcase the first products and services resulting from this partnership at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in March 2025.
