Facebook’s internal R&D group, NPE Team, has launched its latest experiment, Hotline, into public beta testing. Facebook Hotline is a Q&A platform that allows creators to speak to their followers and answer their questions. “With Hotline, we’re hoping to understand how interactive, live multimedia Q&As can help people learn from experts in areas like professional skills, just as it helps those experts build their businesses,” said the Facebook spokesperson. The Hotline currently enables users to sign in via Twitter, and verify their identity via SMS, says TechCrunch. Hotline’s website is live but the platform is not yet available in the Philippines. During President Duterte's SONA last end of July, he established the use of 8888 hotline as an easy way to receive complaints regarding government agencies. Today, Globe is using the hotline number 8080 for sending promo registrations through text or SMS. Since last April, the Samsung 321 app introduced the COVID-19 hotline feature to help users with their concerns of emergencies related to the pandemic.
