We just received a notification for a software update on one of our HTC One handsets. The update includes bug fixes, enhancements and upgrade to Android 4.4 Kitkat. We have both a Globe-issued silver HTC One and an HK imported red HTC One. So far, the red HTC One is the first one to get the update. Without the iPhone, we would not have seen the likes of Samsung Instinct, Omnia i900, HTC Touch Diamond, LG Dare and Sony-Ericsson Xperia this early. I had 4 most likely candidates as a great iPhone alternative -- the HTC Touch Diamond, Nokia N96, Samsung i900 Omnia and the Sony-Ericsson Xperia. I had mixed feelings after trying out the HTC Touch Dual phone several weeks ago. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm MSM 7200, 400 MHz processor running Windows Mobile 6 and is compatible with all of the usual HTC accessories.
