HTC has reminded all of us that they’re still in the smartphone scene with its new HTC U24 Pro. After years of being absent from the Philippine market, it seems unlikely that the HTC U24 Pro would get a local release. Of the 3 phones, the HTC Touch HD took center stage with probably the largest display we've seen on a touch screen phone so far. Today, HTC announced the release of the HTC Touch Pro in the Philippines, a smartphone explicitly catering to business and power users. Powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, the HTC Touch Pro supports quad-band GSM with HSDPA (up to 7.2Mbps), WiFi 802.11 b/g, a 2.8-inch touch screen display, full qwerty keyboard that slides out the back, a 3.2 MP camera (+ frontal facing VGA camera for 3G calls), FM radio and GPS. The HTC Touch Pro will be available in local stores by middle of September. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm MSM 7200, 400 MHz processor running Windows Mobile 6 and is compatible with all of the usual HTC accessories.
