Huawei took a lot of people by surprise by launching their latest Nova series smartphone just a few months after they released the Nova 3 series. Huawei also used a different camera configuration and instead of dual front and rear cameras, the Nova 4 has triple cameras at the back and just one on the front. Some of the more notable devices in this fairly new category are the VIVO X21 UD, the Samsung Galaxy A8 and the newly released Huawei Nova 3. This is especially true with Samsung’s Galaxy A8 and Huawei’s Nova 3. The new Nova 3 by Huawei looks stunning in Iris Purple, with a gradient color treatment spanning the entire back panel. On the other hand, we have to give this round to Huawei for using their top-of-the line chipset in the Nova 3. Running a HiSilicon Kirin 970, this is the exact same chipset Huawei used in their flagship P20 and P20 Pro smartphones so using it on the Nova 3 is a huge statement. In this case, the VIVO X21 UD, Galaxy A8 and Huawei Nova 3 all run on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo.
