It seems Huawei is gearing up to launch their next tri-fold phone this year as tipsters suggest. A tipster in Weibo has stated that Huawei is planning to announce their newest tri-fold device this year. There are speculations that this next HUAWEI tri-fold smartphone will run on a Kirin 9020 chip. Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s consumer business division has been seen using what seems to be a tri-folding phone. In response to a customer's query about the tri-fold phone's launch and availability, Yu simply answered, "next month.” While key specs are still under wraps, this phone is expected to unfold into a massive 10-inch screen. Samsung is expected to launch a new foldable phone called the Galaxy Z Fold Wide this year, but it may already face competition from Huawei.
