Acer Philippines announced the availability of the Iconia Tab A200 last month and just today we spotted units being sold in local stores for a suggested retail price of Php18,900. The Iconia Tab A200 may not be a huge update to the first 10.1-inch Iconia Tab from Acer but it looks like the focus here is to offer a very affordable, 10.1-inch ICS tablet. The A200 is still a little thicker (12.4mm) and heavier (700g) than most other tablets in its category. However, it looks like the Iconia Tab A200 might still have a hard time in stores considering that the iPad 2 has dropped to the same price (Php19k) point after the new iPad was announced last month. This could force Acer to lower the price of the Iconia Tab A200 a little bit more to push it from the store shelves.
