Wi-Tribe Philippines did a soft launch recently offering WiMax broadband internet in Metro Manila. In a statement, the telecommunications company said it is working on a partnership with a solar energy provider to combine home internet services with renewable energy systems. According to PLDT, early testing of the service showed strong consumer interest in combining internet and solar services into one package.
