LG is back with another 3D-capable smartphone, the Optimus 3D Max. This is not the first time LG came out with a phone sporting a stereoscopic camera (they had the Optimus 3D last year) but looks like this second incarnation wants to take another shot at 3D images again. The LG Optimus 3D Max comes with a 4.3-inch 3D LCD display that's protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 2, a dual-core TI OMAP processor (1.2GHz Cortex-A9), PowerVR SGX540 and 1GB of RAM. That's basically the same chip they used on the Optimus 3D and they just doubled the RAM. I think we're a bit fortunate to have 3 competing WiMax providers in the Philippines -- there's Globe, Smart and Liberty Telecoms. But just like the existing 3G networks that have been rolled out for years, WiMax is also dependent on location.
