OpenSignal has released the latest LTE report for the Philippines and now pegs it at 9.49Mbps (average). In terms of LTE availability, the Philippines has 63.73% LTE coverage which is higher than the 58.83% from the previous quarter. OpenSignal, a London-based company that specializes in wireless coverage mapping, has releasesd their State of LTE report for Q3 of 2015, showing the LTE speeds of Smart and Globe. According to OpenSignal, Globe has an average LTE download speed of 10Mbps for this quarter. Compared to Q2 2015, Globe has an average LTE download speed of 11Mbps, while Smart is at 5Mbps. OpenSignal, a company specializing in wireless coverage mapping, released a report that focuses on Philippine Internet – particularly our LTE speed. [caption id="attachment_73012" align="aligncenter" width="480"] LTE download and upload speed[/caption] Based on the report, Globe’s download speed is a little bit faster than Smart’s at an average speed of 6.1Mbps against 5.9Mbps. Although this may be the case, we’re still lagging behind other countries in LTE and even in overall Internet speed (2.5Mbps against South Korea's upcoming 10Gbps)  as we’ve previously reported.
