#LTO updates

LTO resumes operations of its offices which are located under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) areas. The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) has announced that the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has activated 25 sites for the issuance of driver's license, student's permit, and conductor's license. "We will print licenses during Saturdays and after office hours on weekdays, in order to erase the current backlog of around 900,000 licenses by the beginning of October this year," said LTO chief Assistant Secretary Alfonso Tan, Jr. News about the Land Transportation Office (LTO) implementing RFID tagging on all motor vehicles this October has been making the rounds of the evening news today. When I first heard about it on the car's radio, I was surprised -- wow, the LTO is going hi-tech.
