The feature called "Lockdown Mode" will be publicly released to the iPhone, iPad, and Mac around September, and currently it's in testing phase by developers. Apple is reported to use dedicated ARM processors for the next-generation Mac computers. According to the report from Bloomberg, the American tech company is preparing to announce the switch of the next Mac lineup from Intel to ARM-based chipsets this upcoming WWDC 2020. The planned unveiling via live stream video will give the developers just enough time to optimize the macOS under a new architecture before the new Macs roll out in 2021. It will also retain the macOS as the operating system. This is the third time in Apple's history that a Mac device will change its processors. It is safe to say that Apple will eventually make a full transition of its Mac lineup, including the top-of-the-line computing devices, to ARM-based processors. Apple has officially unveiled its newest lineup of laptops, the MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and Mac mini.  The new Mac lineup is now powered with the M1 chip, Apple's first system on chip (SoC) designed for Mac.
