After mulling over that busted Canon EF 17-85mm lens, I thought it might be a sign to go buy a new walk-around lens (perhaps an L lens) but I ended up getting a macro lens instead (Canon EF 100mm). Was having a hard time at first choosing between the 50mm, 60mm and the 100mm macro but for the extra distance the latter provides, I thought it was the best choice. Bumped into Art Samaniego of Manila Bulletin during the Nokia N82 Adventure II launch this afternoon and he casually mentioned that there's a new Canon Lens Sale promo going on at Digital Zone. True enough, the prices from previous lens sale was pulled down a bit more, plus a couple new models. Samsung has just announced its latest mirrorless interchangeable lens camera and the successor to last year's NX210 - the Samsung NX300. But what makes the NX300 so special is its ability to shoot 3D photos and videos through Samsung's 45mm F1.8 2D/3D lens. The Samsung NX300 ships in March with a 20-50mm kit lens and costs $750.
