In collaboration with Marvel Games, PlayStation has announced the release of its single-player Marvel game, Spider-Man 2 that will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5 console by 2023. Unlike the previous Spider-Man games that supported cross-generation release for PS4 and PS5, the upcoming Spider-Man 2 title will be exclusive to the PS5—quite a shock. For the past couple of weeks, I've been spending like 4 to 6 hours on average everyday playing a couple of PC games. I only stick to one or two games though so I don't think I'm a heavy gamer. Senator Paolo Benigno "Bam" Aquino IV has rejected calls for a blanket ban on video games following the deadly shooting at a high school in Tacloban City, saying there is no proven link between video games and school violence. Aquino, who chairs the Senate Committees on Basic Education and Science and Technology, said many studies have found no direct connection between playing video games and incidents of school shootings. He said video games have existed for nearly 50 years and are often blamed whenever violent incidents happen. Instead of banning video games, Aquino urged lawmakers to prioritize the proposed School Safety Act.
