Beelink, known for its mini PCs, is stepping into the Network Attached Storage (NAS) market with its Beelink ME series, marking its first foray into private cloud storage solutions. The Beelink ME Mini will be the first of at least three NAS devices the company plans to release, with an expected launch by the end of this month. Unlike traditional NAS setups that rely on 3.5-inch hard drives, the Beelink ME Mini takes a different approach. Beelink also confirmed that models with pre-installed storage will come with Crucial-brand SSDs, moving away from the cheaper no-name storage options often found in Chinese mini PCs. Typically, NAS devices from brands like Synology, QNAP, and Asustor run custom Linux-based operating systems. The Beelink ME Mini, however, will ship with Windows, which isn’t exactly optimized for NAS functions.
