#Messenger desktop app discontinued

The Messenger desktop app is also being discontinued. Messaging will continue through that web interface or via the Messenger mobile app. Users who rely on Messenger without a Facebook account can still access their conversations through the Messenger mobile app. The move effectively consolidates Messenger’s web experience under the main Facebook website, removing the standalone Messenger.com portal and desktop application.
