PalawanPay has added Google Wallet support for its Visa Card, allowing eligible Android users to make contactless payments using their smartphones instead of a physical card. The new feature lets users link their PalawanPay Visa Virtual Card to Google Wallet and pay at stores that accept contactless payments through Google Pay's Tap to Pay feature. Users making payments on desktop browsers can now approve transactions through their Android phones using biometric authentication, PIN verification, or QR code scanning. BDO is encouraging users to get more value out of everyday transactions through BDO Pay, where shopping, paying bills, and buying mobile load can earn rewards and exclusive deals along the way. We've got over a hundred submissions from our recent poll on mobile 3G services. Quite a number of users have already been using their new uMobile SIMs too (7.19%) while fledgling Sun Cellular 3G is still down there. Surprisingly, very few people are using PLDT WeRoam -- a service which has practically been supplanted by SmartBro Mobile 3G. uMobile on the other hand, though an autonomous telco is still considered a Smart/PLDT property and their free ad-supported 3G services will certainly bump up their total numbers.
