Smart Communications, the mobile arm of PLDT, has rolled out a new feature that lets its users make video calls directly from their phones without the need for apps like Messenger, Zoom, or WhatsApp. This expansion is meant to give customers smoother and faster services for video calls, streaming, and even mobile gaming. With ViLTE, Smart says it is taking communication to the next level by making video calling simpler and more accessible for everyone. Smart Communications has received the Best Mobile Video Experience award from Ookla, recognizing the company’s performance in mobile video streaming. According to Ookla’s analysis, Smart achieved a Video Score of 78.60, placing it ahead of other mobile operators in the Philippines. Smart said the award highlights ongoing investments in network infrastructure aimed at supporting increasing demand for video streaming and other real-time mobile applications.
