Mozilla has announced its own Virtual Private Network, the Mozilla VPN. Mozilla VPN is based on the WireGuard protocol's 4,000 lines of code - which is only a fraction in size compared to legacy protocols used by other VPNs. The Mozilla VPN app has a simple UI that allows anyone who wants to use a VPN set it and browse the web securely. It follows Mozilla's Data Privacy Principles that focuses on the information users need. Mozilla also did not party with any third-party analytics platform. Mozilla has released a new update to their Firefox web browser, which they claim is the biggest update by far since launching Firefox 1.0 in 2004. Called "Firefox Quantum", Mozilla boasts that it is over twice as fast as the version of Firefox that was out six months ago, and that it uses less memory than the competition. Mozilla's research team studied how consumers browsed the web to create a new and improved UI, called "Photon".
