Meta has officially introduced Muse Spark, the first artificial intelligence model developed by its Superintelligence Labs, marking a major step in the company’s push toward advanced AI systems. Announced by Mark Zuckerberg, Spark is part of a new “Muse” family of AI models and is now powering an updated version of Meta AI, accessible through Meta’s platform. Meta says future versions of Muse will go beyond answering questions, evolving into AI agents capable of performing tasks on behalf of users. With the debut of Spark, Meta is positioning itself more directly in the race to develop next-generation AI tools, though it remains unclear how the new model will perform against competing systems. More models under the Muse lineup, including open-source releases, are expected to follow.
