Elon Musk has now surpassed former President Barack Obama as the most followed person on Twitter. Musk now holds the title with 133.3 million followers on Twitter currently, whilst the former record holder, Barack Obama, currently has 133 million. This isn't entirely surprising since Musk does own the company and uses it to give updates regarding Twitter, voice his opinions, and tweet a bunch of memes. Apart from Musk and Obama, the top 10 most followed Twitter users today in no particular order are Justin Bieber, Cristiano Ronaldo, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Narendra Modi, Donald Trump, and Lady Gaga. Shortly after laying down its plans for Twitter after a multi-billion dollar takeover, Elon Musk said that he would be willing to reinstate Donal Trump's account back to Twitter. In an interview conducted by the Financial Times' in their Future of the Car conference (Timestamp: 25:26), Musk was asked if he has plans on letting Donald Trump back on Twitter. Musk stated that they should be "extremely rare" and reserved for "bots or spam scam accounts".
