A Globe Telecom representative sent an email confirming that their MyFi Router is already being sold in selected Globe Business Centers. The Globe MyFi Router is an add-on to existing Globe Tattoo Broadband plans. So, instead of just getting the Globe Tattoo USB dongle, customers will have the option to take the MyFi Router instead. An additional monthly fee of Php250 is added to your postpaid bill for the MyFi Router for the next 24 months (a total Php6,000 spread over 2 years). TP-Link has officially announced the Archer 8, the company’s first router platform built around the upcoming Wi-Fi 8 standard. Alongside the Archer 8, TP-Link also revealed its broader Wi-Fi 8 roadmap, which includes: Deco 8 mesh system - Q1 2027 Roam 8 travel router - Q2 2027 Wi-Fi 8 range extenders and adapters - Q2 2027 The TP-Link Archer 8 is expected to launch in October 2026, with final specifications and regional availability to be announced closer to release. The United States has moved to tighten control over internet infrastructure by banning new foreign-made consumer routers, citing growing cybersecurity and national security risks. Under the new policy, routers manufactured outside the US will no longer be allowed for sale unless they pass strict regulatory approval.
